The market could afford health insurance for every American if the insurance companies, the hospitals and the drug companies weren’t fleecing the American public.
Why is it that a “generic” prescription costs most times 50% less than the name brand? Marketing.
Why do phamaceutical companies have big conventions? To pay the doctors that will prescribe certain medications more.
Why do insurance companies have a “negotiated price” with providers? Because the hospitals and doctors are still raking in a profit even when they get less money for a service.
