How do people feel about Kennedy attaching the Hate-Crimes bill to the Defense Authorization Bill?

i think the definition of “hate crimes” is a slippery slope that will ultimately compromise various instances of free speech. no one can define such crimes, and no one can define a crime where “hate” is not involved. its a nonsensical PC term that ought not be legitmized by our laws.
